Who We Are

The art industry is broken. In addition to being difficult to navigate, the industry is rampant with nepotism, elitism, fraud, secrecy, hype, and gigantic barriers preventing emerging artists from being seen, elevated, and supported throughout their creative journeys.

SOLOSHOW aims to temper these barriers to ensure a nurturing environment exists for up-and-coming talent. We envision a world of discovery, empowerment, and fair access, where anyone can become and/or support the next big names of tomorrow.

How We Came to Be

SOLOSHOW’s founder, Ireen Brock, began SOLOSHOW to address a strong need for support and trust in an otherwise unwieldy art world. After experiencing firsthand the pain points and exploitative nature of the art industry, Ireen saw a unique opportunity to be a dynamic agent of change.

Rooting in her past lives as a state trooper, an attorney, and a strategy + operations professional—at both startups and the Fortune 100—Ireen discovered that she could apply her advocacy skills and broad business knowledge to build a company focused on bettering artists’ and collectors’ experiences. With a quippy personality, a renegade attitude, and an eye for great art, SOLOSHOW was borne to shake up a mostly insular and formulaic art industry. Giddyup!
